Leading Hand Carpenter – Sunshine Coast / Moreton Bay

About the role

Arcadia Homes QLD is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join our growing in-house team. You’ll be working full-time on new residential homes across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay.

This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who knows their trade inside out and wants to take the next step—running jobs, training apprentices, and making a real impact on site.

What you’ll be doing

Leading and coordinating apprentice carpenters to deliver quality work on time

Handling all aspects of residential carpentry—from framing and lock-up to cladding, soffits, fixouts, and fitoffs

Working directly with site supervisors (previous in house carpenter) to understand and deliver on client expectations

Teaching and mentoring apprentices to lift the standard of the whole team

Keeping jobs safe and compliant with building codes and WHS requirements

Sharing ideas to improve how our carpentry team works

What we’re looking for

Trade qualified Carpenter with at least 5 years on the tools post-apprenticeship (have less experience get in contact we are also looking for qualified carpenters).

Complete tools required for all aspects of carpentry

Previous experience as a Leading Hand in residential building preferred

Confident in all stages of carpentry

Able to read plans, problem-solve, and keep work to a high standard

Good communicator who knows how to get the best from a team

Safety-focused, reliable, and proud of your work
