About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to enhance the capacity and quality of pre-entry and new graduate clinical education and training in local health services. Provide coordination, leadership and support to senior staff and clinical educators to facilitate the development of students and graduates to ensure the safe and effective provision of high-quality speech pathology services to the patients of Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level speech pathology clinical education services to students and new graduate speech pathologists in accordance with the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics and the Queensland Health Code of Ethics.
  • Provide support to speech pathology clinical educators across Metro North health facilities to ensure maintenance of professional standards in student education.
  • Actively contribute to service planning within professional and clinical teams.
  • Exercise independent judgement and problem-solving skills, in matters beyond routine practice using valid and reliable evidence, with infrequent clinical practice supervision.
