Your role as a new graduate or early career speech pathologist on our team is to provide the highest level of care to your clients as you continue to be supported, supervised and trained in a diverse caseload by experienced therapists on the team. If you have some experience already, you may also have opportunities to teach and supervise students and/or other speech pathologists.
You will also have opportunities to support initiatives and projects, learn from regular PDs and special speakers we source for our team, participate in monthly wellbeing days, quarterly internal PD days on top of a generous PD budget with PD leave on top of annual leave.
About the position:
We seek to fill a new full-time graduate early career speech pathologist position.
This role will be based at our Williams Landing location but will also have the option of working across Williams Landing and North Melbourne sites.
We are flexible with days and are open to your choice of working longer days to make a shorter work week and enjoy a longer weekend. Some Telehealth, work-from-home days are also an option.
You will be part of a team of speech pathologists and admin staff who support one another.
The remuneration package range is from $88,000 - $106,000 and depends on clinical experience. There is also the opportunity to earn bonuses on top of the base remuneration from helping more in client hours.

Weekly 1:1 supervision with a Senior Clinician, Team Leader and/or Practice Principal.
Weekly mentoring with the Practice Principal for the first 100 days, and fortnightly after.

Quarterly team PD and wellbeing days.
Monthly scheduled wellbeing activities.

The position will involve the following:
Working primarily with children and adolescents 2-16 with minimal verbal communication skills, and/or social pragmatic difficulties/differences, literacy, and speech and/or language difficulties.
Continuing your growth in clinical skills in a variety of areas relevant to our scope of practice.
Reaching out to other professionals and building professional relationships.
Running group programs (with training and support)
Working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds or monolingual English speakers.
Assessing, providing feedback, and writing quality speech, literacy, and language reports for monolingual or bilingual and multicultural clients and their families.
Monitoring, measuring, and documenting client outcomes.
More experienced clinicians may be tasked to assist with Autism Assessments (after training).
Providing therapy in the community from time-to-time e.g., at schools or kinders.
Providing evidence-based intervention to clients and communicating intervention goals and progress to their families and others involved in the clients’ care.
Liaising regularly with other key stakeholders involved in the clients’ care.
Writing NDIS reports and review reports.
Regularly providing written and verbal information and feedback to families following intervention and assessment sessions.
You will also participate in other team events such as (but not limited to): Professional Development days, well-being days, and team lunches/dinners.
