Position: Head of IT

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 + super

Location: Melbourne

Overview:

The Head of IT plays a key role in the strategic leadership, operational management, and financial oversight of the organisation’s IT and AV services. This senior role drives the effective delivery of technology solutions to support the organisation’s core functions and objectives, fostering innovation and ensuring reliable, high-quality service across all IT areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy aligned with organisational goals.

Lead and develop the IT team, promoting a culture of exceptional service and continuous improvement.

Oversee management of IT infrastructure, systems, and support services to meet diverse operational and stakeholder needs.

Ensure robust IT security, risk management, and regulatory compliance across all technology platforms.

Manage vendor and partner relationships to maximise service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Administer the IT budget with strong financial controls, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Develop and maintain IT policies, documentation, and business continuity plans.

Ideal Candidate:

Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications in IT or related disciplines.

At least 5 years’ experience in senior IT management or leadership roles.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Experience with strategic IT planning, enterprise architecture, and IT governance frameworks.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.

Up-to-date knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.

Strong customer focus with a track record of delivering high-quality IT services.

Experience in complex organisational environments preferred.
