About the Role

As Director Strategic Assets & Property Planning, you will be the driving force behind our department's asset management strategy. You will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive policies, high-performing systems, and best practices that maximize the return on investment and ensure the sustainable, effective deployment of our varied assets, which include commercial and leased property, infrastructure, equipment, and fleet.

You will work closely with NSW Treasury and other key stakeholders to define the frameworks, processes, and standards needed for sound asset acquisition and disposal that align with robust legal, financial, and commercial principles. Additionally, you will provide strategic advice to senior leadership, develop critical financial models and analyses, and oversee the governance and risk frameworks that track project milestones, ensuring that cost, time, and quality targets are met.

In managing the portfolio property and fleet functions, you will champion commercially and customer-focused strategies while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and strategic objectives, including alignment with sustainable practices like the Net Zero Government Operations Policy.

You are an experienced leader with a strong background in strategic asset management and property planning. You have demonstrated strengths in developing and implementing asset management frameworks. You excel at navigating complex regulatory environments and collaborating with diverse teams, from senior executives to government stakeholders, to drive sustainable, commercially astute outcomes.
