The opportunity
Working with this team of committed educators, your responsibilities include:
- Working according to the Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and curriculum frameworks.
- Working in collaboration with the team to plan and implement play-based programs.
- Documenting children's learning, development, interest and abilities, including setting individual and group goals.
- Initiating and promoting warm and intentional interactions with children as a key learning strategy.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of curriculums within the learning program.
- Dedicated non-contact time with mentoring available to ensure thoughtful and purposeful programming
About You
- Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011.
- Relevant experience working in children's services in line with Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and curriculum frameworks.
- Demonstrated understanding of Victoria's Child Safe Standards.
- Ability to self-manage work requirements in liaison with centre leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other early childhood educators, to provide appropriate culturally sensitive and inclusive educational programs.
- Hold a current and valid, or willingness to obtain: Working with Children's Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
