Role: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Port of Brisbane
Hours of Work: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (plus overtime as required)
Hourly Rate: $45–$50 per hour

Tasman Logistics Services is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Port of Brisbane. This is a hands-on role that involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of heavy vehicles, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled A, B, and C services on trucks and trailers

Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and general maintenance across the fleet

Respond to breakdowns as required, both onsite and in the field

Provide guidance and training to apprentices in line with workshop standards

Ensure accurate documentation of all service and repair work

Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies

Candidate Requirements:

Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

Proven experience working with heavy vehicles, particularly trucks and trailers

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills

Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards

Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach
