Service Coordinator – Meals on Wheels Brisbane South
Location: 49 Abbotsleigh Street, Holland Park
Permanent Part-Time | 70 hours per fortnight | Monday to Friday 7:30-2:30

Meals on Wheels Brisbane South is looking for a Service Coordinator to join our vibrant team at our Holland Park production kitchen – a hub that provides meals to the local community plus several local Meals on Wheels services.
About Us
With more than 70 years of experience in aged care, Meals on Wheels is more than just a meal service. We support seniors, NDIS participants, and others in the community by providing nutritious, home-cooked meals that help them stay independent and connected.
In 2021, 11 individual services across Brisbane South amalgamated to form one strong, unified NFP organisation. Our services span from Victoria Point in the East to Centenary in the West, all within the Brisbane South Aged Care Planning Region – and we're passionate about delivering with heart, dignity and purpose.
What You’ll Do
As a Service Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in making it all happen – from managing volunteer schedules to ensuring meals are delivered smoothly and safely. You’ll bring your admin smarts, coordination skills and positive energy to:
Process My Aged Care referrals and maintain client intake
Organise daily meal and delivery schedules
Coordinate volunteer inductions, rosters and engagement
Handle client payments and financial reconciliation
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Aged Care Standards and Policies and Procedures
Oversee asset maintenance and kitchen operations
Foster a positive and supportive team culture with staff and volunteers
Does this sound like you?
You’re a natural organiser who can juggle tasks and priorities with ease
You’ve got a background in administration or customer service
You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and technology, experience with Client Management Systems is a plus!
You know how to get the best out of people – whether they’re staff or volunteers
You’re a confident communicator who loves solving problems
You’re outcomes-focused, enthusiastic and community-minded
Bonus points if you have experience in hospitality, kitchens or food service management
Familiarity with CHSP, HCP or NDIS is a big plus – but if you’re keen to learn, we’ll support you!

NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
