About the Team
The Child and Youth Community Health Service (CYCHS) at Children's Health Queensland provides a wide range of community-based health services for children, young people, and their families in the Brisbane metropolitan area as well as outreach services across Queensland.
About the Role
- Identify opportunities to enhance accurate collection of data in accordance with Activity Based Funding and revenue optimisation requirements.
- Coordinate regular data audits, cleaning, and validation activities to ensure high-quality, accurate, and reliable data across systems.
- Prepare and deliver data reports using diverse clinical and non-clinical information systems, including population health data, to support research, planning, quality improvement, performance monitoring, and evaluation across the division.
- Deliver high-level support by creating and maintaining key resources—such as data dictionaries, quick reference guides, and customized data solutions—and by providing training to enhance staff capability across the division.
- Actively participate in organisational and state-wide forums related to children's community health data collection and processes and lead initiatives to improve clinical information management practices.
- In collaboration with the divisional leadership team, lead the planning and execution of transformational change initiatives—ranging from small to large scale—focused on children's community health services within Child and Youth Community Health Services, with the goal of enhancing access, performance, and divisional outcomes from referral through to discharge.
