About the role

IGA Landsborough is seeking an experienced Deli Supervisor to join our team in Landsborough, QLD. As a casual Deli Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our thriving deli department, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the work of deli staff, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow

Monitor and maintain product quality, freshness and presentation in the deli display

Handle cash, process transactions, and reconcile sales

Assist customers with product selection, provide recommendations, and address any queries or concerns

Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations

Train and develop deli team members, providing guidance and coaching as needed

Collaborate with the store management team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement new initiatives

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a deli or food retail environment

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide exceptional assistance to customers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team

Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale systems
