St Alban’s Wilston Early Childhood Centre is a small, child safe, boutique single-room Early Childhood Centre catering for toilet trained, kindergarten children 3 to 5 years in the inner Northern suburbs of Brisbane. The service is supported by an active Management Committee and the Anglican Schools Commission.

Are you ready to step into a leadership position? Do you aspire to become a Centre Director?

We are currently seeking an Assistant Director to assist in leading and supporting our established team. This position is for a contact person (on the floor supporting the team) and would be suitable for Educators who have strong communication and leadership skills. We welcome all educators, who are interested in working towards a position as a Centre Director or other management positions.

The successful applicant will be inspired about early childhood care and education and ideally with previous 2IC experience (preferred but if you are the right candidate we will provide training). As Assistant Director you will be supported, mentored and provided training by the Centre Director and our leadership team.

Ideal Candidate

· Someone who is passionate about making change and driven to create change for these young people. We would like someone who is inspired by their line or work in the early childhood care and education sector.

· Leadership experience in a similar role, or the ability to comfortably take charge and responsibility for projects, jobs and management of self and other staff.

· Support Educators and the Centre in providing quality care to all children.

· Openness to learn and grow with the team and Centre as St Alban's is a Centre that truly functions like no other! It is because of this we need someone who is comfortable fostering strong relationships with children, families and the local community.

· Sound knowledge of the EYLF and QKLG.

Essential Qualifications

· Diploma of Early Childhood.

· Current Blue Card. (Current)

· First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates. (Current)

· Able to navigate all basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint - in addition, familiarity with ipads/tablets and printers.

· Available to work 5 days a week.
Opening shift (7am-3pm) or Closing shift (10am-6pm)

· Sound knowledge of NQF including NQS.

Preferred but not Essential

· Experience with Qikkids.

· Experience with Storypark.

· We would love to be able to have someone with fresh eyes, and a new range of experiences (beyond Childcare), in language, culture, science, plants, woodwork, painting etc to share with our children who adore learning about the world around them.
