We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Technician / Operator to join our dynamic team in a plastics manufacturing facility. If you're passionate about quality, process improvement, and hands-on production work, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

Your Role

Reporting to the Extrusion Plant Manager, you will play a key role in daily operations, ensuring equipment runs efficiently, products meet quality standards, and production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment, including start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.

Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and efficiency.

Load raw materials into hoppers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling (up to 25kg).

Conduct in-process quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools.

Collaborate with the plant manager and engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

Accurately record material usage and production outputs using digital systems.

Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the work area.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Proven experience operating plastic extrusion equipment (essential).

Good physical fitness, ability to lift 25kg as required.

Basic computer literacy can use Microsoft Words / Excel.

A strong focus on workplace safety.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Would be advantageous to have a forklift license.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday: Start 6:00am, finish 3:00pm.
