FMI Building Innovation is a leading manufacturer of high-performance, architectural glass solutions. Our Noble Park site is growing, and we’re on the lookout for experienced Glass Processing Technicians to join our fast-paced production team.

🔧 About the Role

As a Glass Processing Technician, you will be responsible for processing glass to specification across one or more of the following areas:

Key Responsibilities

• Interpreting work orders and production drawings
• Glass cutting (float line), CNC/waterjet cutting
• Furnace operation and heat treatment
• Arrising, polishing, and bevelling edges
• Spacer application, quality checks, and defect identification
• Accurate stacking and preparation of customer orders
• Assisting with deliveries and unloading incoming shipments
• Maintaining strict safety and quality standards

🧠 About You

This is not a trainee role — we are seeking candidates with proven experience in glass processing or a related manufacturing environment.

Essential:

• Previous experience in glass processing (cutting, furnace, CNC, or edgework)
• Physically fit – ability to lift up to 20kg and be on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to specification
• Comfortable working with production machinery and tools
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality and safety

Desirable:

• Experience in custom or architectural glass work
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or ERP systems
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Current forklift licence (advantageous)
