About the opportunity

The Lead, AusHFG Standard Components is a specialist health planning and design role within the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines (AusHFG) Team and responsible for leading the development of the Standard Components on behalf of the Australasian Health Infrastructure Alliance (AHIA).

The role involves project managing a team of technical consultants and facilitating consultation meetings with clinical and operational experts to develop AusHFG Room Data Sheets and Room Layout Sheets that are used on health infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand

AHIA is a collaboration between all public health authorities across Australia and New Zealand and is the custodian of the AusHFG. AHIA supports all jurisdictions and industry organisations to better plan, procure and manage publicly funded health assets. The AusHFG provide the basis of planning and design for healthcare facilities across Australia and New Zealand and are administered by NSW Health Infrastructure as the lead agency for AHIA.

This is a fixed term contract role concluding 30 June 2027. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you

We are seeking someone with a background in health facility planning or design that is detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Experience working on a range of health infrastructure / redevelopment projects and working knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools would be highly beneficial.

If you are passionate about health facility design and enjoy working in a collaborative environment with clinical, operational and technical experts, this is the role for you.
