Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.
The General Manager Operating Model plays a key role in driving Power and Water’s multi-year strategic initiative to modernise our business. This role is responsible for the delivery of the Operating Model Program – a comprehensive series of people, process, technology and data improvement projects – ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering best-practice outcomes.
As a senior leader within the Customer and Strategy team, the General Manager is responsible for refining and leading the delivery of the program to achieve sustainable, efficient operations and provides strategic advice and program updates to the Board, Chief Executive, executive leadership team and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and maintaining alignment with Power and Water’s purpose and mission.
We are looking for someone who has significant experience at the executive level in leading a transformation function, with the ability to paint a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action, preferably within the utility sector. Someone who will take ownership and accountability for driving meaningful and sustainable change across the Corporation.
