This is a critical role in connecting with women and making a difference.
We’re looking for an Employment Advocate for an exciting new program working with women who have been living in prison and are rebuilding their lives in the community.
This role is part of an innovative program and is critical to supporting women in the program with an emphasis on wellbeing, social connections, employment, and housing.

What You’ll Do
Create and support employment, education, and vocational training opportunities for women in the program
Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with employers and support their working relationships with women in the program
Liaise with community-based services, programs and supports to develop and implement plans that address the unique challenges for women leaving prison
Provide individual and group support and education with women in the program to strengthen their employment, education, and training experiences
Contribute to program evaluation, research, and reporting
You will need
Very good interpersonal, relationship, and negotiation skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Calmness and emotional composure
Patience with repetition and taking time to achieve outcomes
Energy and determination
Very good organisation and time management skills

This role may include travel to multiple sites and/or outreach locations for meeting with women, employers, and other program commitments. Award-based penalties and allowances apply as per the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS).
