Remuneration: SES 1 ($225,000 - $290,601 TRP)

Position Overview
The Director Infrastructure & Assets is a pivotal executive role within Parks Victoria's Operations and Delivery Division, responsible for leading the Infrastructure and Assets Directorate as Parks Victoria's centre of expertise in the construction, management and maintenance of visitor infrastructure and assets in parks, reserves and designated local ports and waterways.
You will provide guardrails for park asset and infrastructure management by regional teams and lead the direct delivery of complex and high value capital projects across the state, ensuring they are achieved on time and to budget. You will foster genuine partnerships with Traditional Owners, local communities, businesses and other stakeholders whilst managing more than 28,000 assets and visitor infrastructure.
This role is critical to Parks Victoria's success as the organisation undergoes significant transformation, getting 'back to basics' to improve performance in ensuring Victoria's diverse network of parks and reserves remain accessible for all visitors to enjoy whilst protecting natural and cultural values.
Your Experience and Attributes
Extensive experience leading capital projects in large, complex organisations, managing competing priorities and diverse stakeholder interests with demonstrated knowledge and skills in capital project delivery
Strong expertise in infrastructure and asset maintenance planning and delivery with experience establishing organisational frameworks, systems and processes to support strategy-aligned performance excellence
Proven ability to build and engage high performing, customer-focused workforces whilst coaching, mentoring and motivating teams to achieve continual improvement and organisational vision commitment
Outstanding relationship building and stakeholder management capabilities with ability to initiate, sustain and leverage strategic internal and external relationships
Demonstrated big picture strategic thinking to develop innovative solutions and strategies that continually evolve and define future outcomes
Strong governance and compliance capabilities with experience in effective governance, accountability and performance management in complex regulatory environments
High level conceptual, analytical and judgement skills to lead generation and implementation of innovative solutions with willingness to try new approaches and genuine desire to learn and make a difference
Relevant qualifications in project management, engineering, public administration or business management or related discipline with proven record of achievement in senior leadership roles
The successful candidate will demonstrate sophisticated approaches to influencing and gaining support for initiatives whilst taking calculated risks, making quality decisions and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
