ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Director Corporate Governance is responsible for promoting the continuous improvement of a strong governance culture, underpinned by the corporate governance framework of NSW Ambulance. Working with senior leaders across the organisation, this role delivers strategic leadership on key governance programs and initiatives through the design and oversight of corporate and data governance systems. This role works collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure that all systems of corporate governance and data governance across NSW Ambulance are unified to deliver strategic organisational outcomes.

Please note: This position is for a period of up to twelve (12) months with possible extension.
ABOUT YOU
You have senior level experience in corporate governance roles and have overseen effective governance structures, policies and practices. You have a passion for the design and continuous improvement of corporate governance functions and naturally foster a culture of integrity and trust within an organisation through strong stakeholder relationships and collaboration.

We are committed to providing high quality clinical care and health related transport services to over 7.25 million people in NSW, distributed across an area of 801,600 square kilometers.
The average number of ambulance responses increased by 3.3 per cent over the past year. Factors contributing to increased activity include population growth, an ageing population and the associated increase in rates of illness.
In 2013/14 we provided 1,234,843 total responses (both emergency and non-emergency) compared to 1,219,262 total responses in 2012/13. There were on average 3383 responses per day - this is equivalent to a response every 26 seconds.
