This is a work-from-home role, so you can be based anywhere in Australia. The role
As a QA Specialist at ClubWise you will own the delivery of software from development to release. ClubWise use an Agile development framework and the QA Specialist fulfils the role of Scrum Master for one or more of the development streams.
A key part of the role is ensuring development projects remain on target and escalating to Senior Management and the Product team if delays are identified.
Whilst acting as Scrum Master the QA Specialist is also expected to play a full part in the testing process to ensure the expected level of quality is delivered to the production environment. The QA Specialist is expected to create test plans in response to new developments and ensure accurate coverage over the technical landscape.
Technical Responsibilities
• Testing of software delivered from the development team prior to release
• Triage, analysis and reporting of issues found during testing
• Creation and completion of detailed test plans and documentation for all new product and features based on requirements and product knowledge
• Accurate estimating of resources and timings to fit with the scheduled release plan
• Manage development resources on their progress as Scrum Master or similar
• Escalation of issues where necessary
• Triage of issues raised by external teams against the live system and ensure accurate and timely responses are issued against company SLAs
• Accurate communications to all stakeholders

Leadership Responsibilities
• Manage the day-day work for a team of remote developers
• Act as their point of contact for issues, challenges and delivery
• Ensure all Agile meetings are held as expected and updates circulated as appropriate
• Report on project progress using the tools available
• Manage the ‘backlog’ and preparation for new developments
• Contribute to the triage/priority process for new issues
Functional Responsibilities
• Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
• Participate in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies as they relate to software development.
