About the role
Specsavers Success, a leading eye care provider, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Assistant to join our dynamic team in Success, WA 6164. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our clinical operations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
What you'll be doing
Assisting Optometrists, Audiologists and other clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
Performing diagnostic tests and measurements, such as tonometry, OCT scans and autorefraction
Performing hearing screenings, visual fields, contact lens fit and teach assessments, IPL and LTTT dry eye therapy services
Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and sterilised
Creating a positive customer experience by welcoming and assisting clinic patients. Providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions
Accurately documenting patient records and maintaining detailed case notes and patient confidentiality
Supporting the optometry team with administrative tasks, such as booking appointments and processing orders, clinic and diary management and stock control
Giving back with involvement in local community projects with health providers and schools.
What we're looking for
Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Clinical Assistant or in a similar healthcare support role. Knowledge of healthcare practices, standards and medical terminology beneficial
Familiarity with Medicare or Allied Health Insurance providers preferrable, full training will be given
Compassionate and caring nature, empathy, professionalism and reliability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and clinical staff
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational skills to manage patient appointments, maintain medical records, and assist in inventory management
Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software
A passion for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of the practice
Ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues to thrive and achieve goals together
Any additional skills, such as fluency in a second language or experience with specific medical software, may also be beneficial.
