Your Impact:
As a Full-Time Payroll Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Payroll Lead to ensure that Good Sammy’s staff are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with relevant industrial instruments and legislation.
What You’ll Do:
Input and update employee data in Definitiv for both new and existing employees.
Collaborate closely with the Payroll Lead to process the fortnightly payroll for over 800 employees.
Handle a high volume of employee changes, including tracking movement of hours, calculating overtime, pay increases, back pay, and terminations.
Maintain thorough, auditable payroll records in full compliance with relevant legislation.
Provide prompt, professional customer service to management, employees, and external stakeholders.
Exhibit strong data entry and Excel skills.
Take direction and assist the Payroll Lead with day-to-day payroll functions.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving ability.
- High focus on attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines and multi-task.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret industrial instruments and agreements and knowledge of the Fair Work Act.
