About the role

TAFE Gippsland is offering an exciting opportunity for dedicated and enthusiastic customer service specialists to become part of the Client Services Team at our Bairnsdale Campus. In this role, you'll be a key contributor in ensuring that students have a positive and seamless experience from the very beginning of their journey with TAFE Gippsland.

As an Enrolment Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students, visitors and staff presenting at the Enrolments and Enquiries counter. You will assist students along their enrolment journey from initial application through to the processing of their enrolment. Your responsibilities will include conducting student enrolment appointments, managing behind-the-scenes enrolment processing, verifying student eligibility, processing payments, and overseeing all documentation related to student applications and enrolments with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong administrative skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service are essential for success in this position.

This is a parental leave backfill role, and contract dates are subject to change, and is dependent on the incumbents chosen return to work date.

Qualifications and experience

Exceptional Customer Service skills

Experience working in a team environment and ability to work collaboratively with other departments

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent planning and organisation skills, high attention to detail

Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills

Experience working in higher education or the TAFE sector is highly desirable

Mandatory requirements

Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance

Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)

Current Driver’s Licence (travel between campuses is a requirement of the role)

6 months probationary period applies to these roles
