A bit about the role
As part of a highly experienced and supportive team, coordinate a wide range of functions for diverse groups including government and community organisations.
Provide excellent customer service, liaise extensively with internal stakeholders and organise resources to bring together successful, memorable events.
What you’ll deliver
- Respond to external and internal booking enquiries for meeting rooms, functions and events through all avenues of enquiry.
- Liaise with clients to finalise event details such as floor plan, catering requirements, event timings and numbers
- Be the key contact for all event enquiries, meeting room bookings and catering requests.
- Liaise with the Function and Event Team to communicate all operational requirements including building, staffing, catering, set up and equipment requirements
- Maintain event details in the booking system (Momentus).
- Ensure all event communication is prepared including daily run sheets, floor plans, signage and menus
What you’ll bring
- A customer focussed approach with outstanding communication and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of hospitality and event operations
- Demonstrated proficiency with Event Management software (preferably Ungerboeck/Momentus)
- Basic graphic design skills in tools such as Canva, Visio and Adobe
- Degree or diploma in a relevant area such as Diploma of Hospitality Management or lesser formal qualifications supported by experience in sales and hospitality administration
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment
