Contract Length: 6 Months
Pay Rate: Up to $63 per hour + Super

Join a large Western Australian Government agency as a Document Controller supporting key infrastructure and engineering projects. Based in the heart of the Perth CBD, this is an excellent opportunity to work in a structured environment with a strong team and established systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Control & Management

  • Maintain and manage engineering documents and drawings using ProjectWise.
  • Ensure all documents adhere to EIM governance standards, naming conventions, and metadata requirements.
  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and transmittals for project stakeholders.
  • Organise and classify documents, applying correct metadata.
  • Provide access support and manage document permissions in ProjectWise.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure document accuracy and compliance.

Data Coordination & Migration

  • Assist with validating data and updating metadata for project records.
  • Support reporting on document status, completeness, and compliance.
  • Work with Excel and ProjectWise reporting tools to monitor documentation progress.
  • Help prepare and migrate project data into the Enterprise Information Management system.

General Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and train project team members on document control processes.
  • Act as a first point of contact for basic document-related queries in ProjectWise.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and ad hoc documentation tasks.

Skills needed

  • Prior experience in document control for engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of ProjectWise or similar Document Management Systems (DMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for basic reporting and tracking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
