About the role

We are seeking an experienced Nominated Friable Asbestos Supervisor to join our team on a contract basis. As a Friable Asbestos Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe removal and disposal of friable asbestos materials in mining and construction environments across Pilbara, Western Australia. This is a FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) role with a 2:1 roster, based out of Perth.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the work of asbestos removal team to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Develop and implement site-specific work plans and safe work procedures for asbestos removal projects

Provide on-site training and guidance to workers on proper asbestos removal techniques and safety protocols

Monitor work activities to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure the work is completed to a high standard

Prepare detailed records and reports documenting the asbestos removal process and outcomes

Liaise with clients, regulators and other stakeholders to address any concerns or issues that arise

What we're looking for

Minimum a Nominated Asbestos Supervisor in the construction or mining industries

Holding a current Friable Asbestos Removal certificate

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant asbestos regulations, standards and codes of practice

Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and train removal teams

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle complex and high-risk situations
