Carpenters - Australian Trade Qualified – FIFO Project Work or Perth Metro - Ongoing or Project Work

Carpenters International Trade (Not recognized in Australia) - FIFO Project Work or Perth Metro - Ongoing or Project Work (Possibility of Company Sponsorship)

Trades Assistant: Must Have Carpentry or Construction Experience - FIFO Project Work or Perth Project Work

FIFO Projects

Due to one of our clients carrying out project work, each project varies from time frames to rosters where the work is not a set roster. Some Projects can be 2 to 4 weeks + where it can be anywhere from 1 to 8 weeks between projects. Other projects may run for 3 to 6 months where during that time frame a set FIFO roster would be available.

The FIFO Project work generally has the following;

Project Duration: 2 weeks to 6 Months

FIFO Base: Out of Perth Airport or Perth Metro DIDO

FIFO Rosters: Depending on Projects – 8&6, 2&1 or 3 to 4 weeks Straight

Time Frame Between Projects: 1 week to 8 weeks

The Role – Mine Site Project - FIFO – Carpenters & Trades Assistants

Working for our clients Mine Site Camp Construction division the work is project base, where as mentioned projects vary in time frames and FIFO rosters from project to project.

With the FIFO Project Work we require both;

Carpenters

Trades Assistants

The role would best be described as General Construction, where depending on the project the work ranges across;

Installing & Fitting Pre-Fabricated exterior & interior walls

Roof Carpentry

Form Work Carpentry

Rio Bar Steel Fixing

Concreting

Installing Sheet Metal Roofs & Prefabricated Roofs

Installing Prefabricated Windows & Doors

Fitting Prefabricated Bathroom ensuites

Construction of Patios, Decking & Timber Walkways

General Plumbing

Interior Fit Out

Laying Flooring such as Vinyl or hard waring Carpet

Demolition

The Role –Perth Metro – Carpenters & Trades Assistants

Working with a Staff-Net client based in Canning Vale, our client designs, manufactures and installs specialized working at height safety products such as Roof Walkways, Roof Access Hatches, Static Lines & Access Ladders.

Due to a high demands of their products our client is looking for either;

Trade Qualified Carpenters with Australian Trade Papers or Australian Trade Recognition

Carpenters with International Qualifications (Potential for Company Sponsorship)

Trades Assistant with Construction Experience & Working at Heights

The role would best be described as Construction or Roof Carpentry, where depending on the project the work ranges across installation mainly on commercial buildings in the Perth Metro Area which include;

Working at Heights Safety Equipment

Roof Access Hatches

Ladders

Hatches

Anchor Points

Static Lines

Guard Rails

Walkways

The Candidates – Carpenters - FIFO & Metro

We are seeking versatile carpenters that has at least 1 years experience in carpentry and general construction with the flexibility to carry out work tasks across general construction such as;

Carpentry

Form Work

Rio Bar / Steel Fixing

Concreting

Erecting & Installation of Prefabricated building components

Plumbing

Installation of Doors & Windows

Final Fit Out

Roof Work

Installing Building Components

The Candidates – Trades Assistants - FIFO & Metro

As a minimum we are looking for Trades Assistants with at least 1 year experience working as a Trades Assistant in general construction mainly in Carpentry. TA’s that possess FIFO experience in a similar role are encouraged to apply.

Staff-Net will be targeting TA’s that possess the following skills;

Competent in operating Power Tools: Drills, Jack Hammers, Reciprocating Saws, Circular Saws, Grinders

Competent in using Hand Tools: Hammers, Shovels, Wheel Barrows, Screw Drivers, Spanners, Tape Measures

Very good at Measuring Up & Cutting Material to size

Be Physically Fit & Able to Carry Out Labouring Tasks

For both Carpenters and Trades Assistants we are seeking candidates that are able to meet the following requirements or possess the following personality traits;

Has flexibility & able to work varying projects across time frames & rosters

Be Physically Fit & able to carry out regular physical tasks

Pass regular Drug & Alcohol Screens & Medicals

Have excellent English Communication Skills – Verbal & Written

Be highly organized and able to prioritize and manage numerous tasks at the same time

Have a “pro-active” work attitude, possessing initiative and good problem solving skills

Be Safety Conscious & Familiar with strict Safety Procedures and Safe Work Practices

Remuneration - Carpenters

Depending on your qualifications and past work history the pay rate will be between;

FIFO: $55.00 to $60.00 Per Hour (Flat)

Perth Metro: $50.00 to $60.00 Per Hour

+ Super on all Hours

Remuneration - Trades Assistants

Depending on your work experience and tickets, TA pay rates will be;

FIFO: $40.00 to $45.00 Per Hour (Flat)

Perth Metro: $38.00 to $45.00 Per Hour

+ Super on all Hours
