About the Role

Our client, a leader in the fashion retail industry, is seeking temporary support with data entry, stocktaking, and Microsoft Excel tasks. This short-term role, lasting up to 8 weeks, is perfect for someone seeking immediate start opportunities. Ideal candidates will bring experience in Excel, Microsoft Dynamics, stocktaking, or a blend of retail and office-based work, making this an excellent fit for a detail-oriented professional seeking a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Duties

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with accurate data entry and updating inventory records in Excel.
  • Supporting stocktaking processes, including performing physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies in the system.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies under supervision.
  • Preparing and maintaining stocktake schedules as directed.
  • Generating inventory-related reports for internal use.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth stocktaking operations.
  • Providing administrative support to the inventory and retail teams.
  • Maintaining organised records of inventory data and stocktaking results.
  • Adhering to confidentiality and company guidelines when handling sensitive data.
  • Performing general administrative tasks as required to support the team.

Skills & Experience

You will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Background in retail, preferably in inventory or stock management roles.
  • Experience with stocktaking processes and physical inventory counts.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with inventory reporting and tracking systems.
  • Strong administration and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Please note this is a temporary role for 6-8 weeks.
