The Identity Clinic is a Mental Health clinic (Private Practice) with a special focus on the LGBTQIA+ Community, more specifically the Transgender, Gender Diverse and Non-binary populations. Our team has a mission to help our community feel supported by health care professionals that have a prime focus of providing support, guidance, education and above all, gender/queer affirming care.

The Identity Clinics intentions are clear, we are here and we are queer! We are here to provide our community with the gender affirming care that has long gone under resourced and over stigmatised. We envision a world where our communities live in peace, feel safe in all spaces, feel at home and confident within themselves.

We understand this will take time, we understand this will take education for the wider community and for an organisation to put our community at the forefront of their mission. Qualifications & experience

Relevant tertiary qualifications in related field

Discipline-specific professional registration (e.g. AHPRA)

Medicare Provider number (Or able to apply)

Unrestricted Australian Working Rights

NDIS Screener Check

Current WWCC (Working with Children Check)

Tasks & responsibilities

Working with gender diverse & LGBTQIA+ clients to assess, develop and deliver appropriate evidence-based therapies to help them improve their mental health.

Provide gender affirming care and treatment to our clients

Passionate and open to learning to work with various communities

Collaboration with referring GPs, Psychiatrists, NDIS providers and other health care professionals

Be open minded and understanding of diverse backgrounds

Be Neuro-Affirming and understand neuro-affirming practises

Salary Package of $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 plus superannuation
