About the role

Perfect Sense Counselling is seeking a full-time Counsellor, Psychologist, or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our team in Maitland, and Cessnock NSW. You will work with a dynamic team of multidisciplinary mental health professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families in our local community.

The clinician will be responsible for providing individual counselling services, implementing treatment plans, and evaluating client progress. The clinician will also maintain accurate and timely documentation, engage in consultations with other healthcare professionals, and may be involved in outreach and community engagement activities.

What we're looking for

Proficiency in individual counselling techniques and skills is essential

Level 2 or 3 accreditation to ACA or a clinical member of PACFA, Membership with the AASW, Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

Skills in conduction assessments and developing treatment plans are desired

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and other staff

A team play is essential

Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation

Experience in community engagement is a plus

Relevant tertiary qualifications in counselling or a related field, with an agenda to continue learning are essential

Professional registration or accreditation as a counsellor, Psychologist or an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Victim Services registration is desirable

NDIS provider registration is desirable
