A world leader in plant development and distribution is looking for a Nursery Hand/Process Worker to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work for an Australian-owned company that is a large established wholesaler nursery. They are a global family of breeders and researchers providing the Australian horticultural industry with the most commercially viable and innovative plants from around the world.

We currently have an exciting opportunity with this client on their sticking, gapping and seed sewing line.

Location: Skye, VIC 3977

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday - casual ongoing role, temp-to-perm opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Nursery Hand or Process Worker to join this growing commercial nursery.

You will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process. You will work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and attention to detail are key.

Key Responsibilities:

Production area

Fine handwork (inc sticking, gapping, seed sowing, deflasking)

Cleaning and grading of plants

Filling soil into pots

Cleaning equipment

General nursery work

Assist in seedling production, ensuring all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner

Operate machinery and equipment as needed, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude

Follow instructions and maintain high standards of quality control

Work well under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow

Ability to complete fine handwork

Multitasker – Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently

Fast-paced Worker – Comfortable working quickly and staying on top of a busy schedule

Detail-Oriented – Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial in all tasks

Strong Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively in English

Mechanical Aptitude – Comfortable working with and troubleshooting machinery and equipment

Physically Fit – Capable of working in a physically demanding environment, lifting and moving equipment as needed

Able to Retain Information – Ability to remember and apply processes and procedures
