With a strong community focus and a commitment to social impact, this organisation delivers programs and services that support vulnerable and diverse communities across Victoria.

Your new role

Communications Manager - Part-Time (2 days/week, 4-month contract)

Role Purpose: To strengthen the organisation's communications across internal teams, external partners, funders, and the broader community through clear, strategic messaging and compelling content.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement external communication strategies to promote programs, services, and impact
  
• Write and edit a range of content including media releases, newsletters, brochures, reports, and staff updates
  
• Support internal communications with consistent, clear messaging across teams and programs
  
• Draft internal updates, announcements, and newsletters
  
• Ensure alignment of messaging with brand tone, values, and funding priorities
  
• Assist with stakeholder and media engagement
  
• Support promotion of events, community campaigns, and job expos
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive communications
  

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in communications within the not-for-profit and/or government sectors
  
• Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats and audiences
  
• Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging content
  
• Confident working independently while collaborating across teams
  
• Experience in internal communications and change messaging
  
• Understanding of branding, tone of voice, and communication planning
  
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva and MailerLite (desirable)
