Competitive remuneration and conditions, including penalty rates, kilometers reimbursement while on shift and a broken shift allowance

About the role
Join our team of dedicated Support Workers at Interact Australia and make a real difference in the lives of the people we support. In this casual role, you will be providing essential care and assistance to individuals living with disabilities. With a focus on empowering clients to live independently, your role will be crucial in helping them achieve their personal goals and desired outcomes.+
What you'll be doing
Providing personal care and support with daily living activities such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation
Assisting clients to access the community and participate in social, recreational, and educational activities
Helping clients to develop and maintain independent living skills
Supporting clients to integrate into the community
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
Support is located in Zeehan
What we're looking for
A passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
Experience in a similar support worker or care-giving role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A demonstrated commitment to person-centred, empowering, and inclusive practices
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Relevant qualifications, such as Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Working with Vulnerable people check with NDIS Endorsement
Please note: The successful candidate will be required to participate in an Australian Federal Police check, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Worker Screening and a Working with Children Check, prior to confirmation of appointment to the position.
The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
