About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the installation and fabrication of truck tarp systems within a dynamic and supportive workshop environment.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting general factory duties and fabrication tasks
• Operating forklifts and using scissor lifts for installation work
• Performing MIG welding on steel and aluminium components
• Assembling parts and components using hand and power tools
• Assisting with electrical wiring, termination, and testing of motors and control systems
• Installing electric and mechanical tarp systems on aluminium and steel tipping truck and trailer bodies

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:

• A valid forklift licence and drivers licence
• Welding experience (steel and/or aluminium MIG welding preferred)
• A willingness to learn and work in a diverse, fast-moving environment
• Confidence working at heights or with equipment such as scissor lifts
• The physical capability to handle a hands-on role (not strenuous, but active)
