About the Role

Teys Australia is currently seeking a motivated Trade Assistant to join our Maintenance Team at our Biloela facility in Central Queensland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Trade Assistant background who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will support our skilled trades team with general maintenance and repairs, while also being trained to provide backup support for steam boiler operations.

We are committed to developing the right candidate and will provide on-the-job training, including obtaining a boiler ticket, to support your transition into the Relief Boiler Attendant responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with general maintenance and repair activities as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Performing functional testing of pumps, flow meters, and pressure gauges
• Supporting safe and efficient plant operation through preventative maintenance
• Gaining exposure to ammonia refrigeration systems and steam boiler operations

About You

It is essential that you have the following experience/skills

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks
• Previous experience as a trade assistant
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability and aptitude to complete boiler certification training successfully
  

Desirable:

• Exposure to or interest in steam boilers or ammonia refrigeration systems
• Boiler ticket (not required – we will provide training for the right candidate)
