A well-established, Australian owned demolition and civil excavations organisation with a reputation for excellence in their field and a wealth of industry knowledge and success is now looking for an equally qualified addition to their project management team.

The role will include and be responsible for the following types of duties;-

· Oversee project delivery, planning, budgeting for full scope of projects.

· Review and maintain Project Management Plan, Project Risk Assessment, Safety Plan, Quality Plan and Environmental Plan.

· Close co-ordination and oversight of contracts administration ensuring business and project interests are equally maintained

· Establish an appropriate budget, program and maintain production records to properly deliver the defined scope of work whilst developing cost effective solutions to complex demolition/civil delivery problems.

· Complete and submit all daily, weekly and monthly Projects reporting including costing reports and project delivery reviews

· Ensure project/site safety plans are issued to subcontractors and ensure they issue their safe work method statements and risk assessments for review before they commence work (in conjunction with the HSEQ Manager)

· Manage the Contract including all notifications, variations and claims

· Administer and monitor subcontractor performance to ensure that the subcontractor’s technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained.

· Oversee and control the Project purchasing activities by maintaining clear & precise cost tracking/coding (including the hiring and off hiring of plant and equipment, as applicable)

· Ensure environmental controls and reporting are implemented and maintained on all projects in accordance with all contract / client requirements.

· Implement safe and efficient systems in assessing work methods and management practices.

· Establish project specific production targets for all Supervisors, project estimators and project managers on the Project to align individual performance with overall Project budget and schedule.

· Attend all client, site & project meetings (whether internal or external)

· General administration and tasks as required for project management purposes.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and capabilities; -

ü Degree &/or industry qualified in construction, engineering, or project management

ü A proven background and track record in Demolition as a senior project manager or a project manager who is ready, willing and able to take that next step in their career

ü At least 7-10 years prior experience at this level in a SME due to the "hands-on" nature of the role

ü Ability to work under pressure and achieve strict deadlines

ü Self-motivated and sustaining in both the role and the workplace

ü Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail

ü Good verbal and written communication skills

ü A professional presentation with a customer centric and service focus

ü A leader of people and succeed when given the opportunity to train and mentor an individual or team

ü Be literate in the suite of Microsoft products with emphasis on Excel, Project & Word

ü Enjoy working in a role where you are hands on whilst at the same time assisting with the business to drive growth and change.

ü Have a current White Card and driver’s licence
