At DBD Architects & Builders, we’re a full-service, design-and-construct firm building custom homes and commercial spaces across Perth. We’re looking for a high-performing Architectural All-Rounder to replace a key team member who wore many hats and wore them well.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Design & Documentation

Creating concept designs, documentation sets, and working drawings in Archicad

Preparing and lodging Development Applications and Building Permit submissions

Managing RFIs with councils and certifiers

Meeting with New Clients and arranging regular catch ups to discuss about their project and brief.

Client Liaison

Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design and pre-construction phase

Maintaining strong, clear communication from concept to approvals

Managing client expectations, addressing concerns, and delivering a positive experience

Pre-Start & Selections

Leading clients through the pre-start process for new home builds

Coordinating all internal and external selections, fixtures, finishes, and fittings

Working closely with suppliers to ensure timelines and budgets are met

Sales & Business Development

Generating and following up new client leads

Making cold calls and handling inbound project enquiries

Assisting with quoting, tender submissions, and proposals

Admin & Compliance

Raising purchase orders and invoices

Coordinating QBE HII policies through our broker

Keeping all documentation tidy, timely, and aligned with project schedules

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Proficiency in Archicad (non-negotiable)

Experience in custom residential homes and commercial fitouts

Solid knowledge of WA planning and building regulations

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to own the client relationship

Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple active jobs

Experience working in a design & construct firm

Knowledge of construction processes and on-site workflow

Skills in sales, estimating, or construction scheduling
