Position: Vet Nurse – Small Animal Rehabilitation
Hours: 20 hours/week with some flexibility. Possibility to transition to more hours as the business grows.

Balance Vet Rehab is expanding into a brand-new, purpose-built small animal rehab facility on stunning Tamborine Mountain — and we’re looking for an experienced, motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team.

This is a rare opportunity to move beyond the traditional clinic environment and step into a nurse-led, hands-on role in a growing area of veterinary care focused on improving function, reducing pain, and enhancing quality of life for pets.

What You'll Be Doing:

Surgical preparation and anaesthetic monitoring

Teaching and mentoring nursing skills

Delivering hydrotherapy sessions using our new underwater treadmill

Providing rehabilitation treatments including laser therapy, shockwave, selected manual therapies, and therapeutic exercise

Creating and guiding home exercise programs for ongoing patient care

Reception and administration

What We're Looking For:

Qualified and experienced Vet Nurse

Confident in anaesthetic monitoring and surgical prep

Excellent patient handling skills and genuine compassion

Any prior training in rehab or hydrotherapy is a bonus — but not essential

Eagerness to learn new skills; further training in rehab available for the right candidate
