Team Jake (Vic) Ltd is a private, not-for-profit “Service for One” organization. Based in Greensborough, we provide dedicated and person-centered support to a single client – a remarkable man with complex disabilities – helping him live a purposeful life and thrive in his community.
We are currently seeking a dedicated, hands-on, and energetic Operations Supervisor to join our small but passionate team. This is a unique long-term casual opportunity that combines operational leadership, direct support work, and the chance to help grow a micro-business with our client and his day support Team.
About the Role
This position is not just administrative – it’s active, engaging, and varied. You’ll work closely with the Director of Team Jake (Vic) Ltd to:
Oversee day-to-day operations of a small support team
Deliver high-quality, person-centered support
Participate directly in activities with the client, including one sleepover shift per week
Play a central role in fostering our client's independence, well being, and entrepreneurial success
Full understanding of NDIS and compliance is required
Key Responsibilities
Client Care & Support
Ensure support aligns with the client's NDIS goals and personal preferences
Support safe and inclusive community participation
Guide staff in delivering active support and implementing therapeutic strategies
Micro-Business Development
Support the client and team in growing his current micro-business and attract new customers
Foster opportunities to build community connections and new places of interest
Team Leadership & Management
Supervise and mentor a small team (day and night staff)
Lead team meetings and workshops
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, OH&S, and NDIS requirements
Support staff performance, dispute resolution, and team culture
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate records and compliance with NDIS legislation
Assist in recruitment, HR support, and staff development
Use and maintain our client management system
Collaboration & Communication
Act as the key liaison with the client’s family, team, and external stakeholders
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care is in place on all shifts
Essential Criteria
Qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, Business Management, or similar
Experience in operations, team supervision, and direct disability support
Understanding of person-centered practices, behavior support plans, and therapy implementation
Proven knowledge of NDIS framework, compliance, and policies
Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities,(Epilepsy - for which training will be provided)
Willingness to work one day per week in an individualised day program
Willingness to work one overnight sleepover: 5pm-11pm + sleepover and 2 hours of a.m. support
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Availability for flexible shifts (day + sleepover)
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to work (no public transport pick ups offered)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
NDIS Worker Orientation Module (completed)
Police Check
First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
Medication and Epilepsy Training (and willingness to be trained)
Desirable Criteria
Strong community networking and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working within a behavior support framework
Previous work with multidisciplinary teams, therapists
Familiarity with digital client management systems
Experience in micro-business or social enterprise development
Must have NDIS understanding of policies, procedures, legislation and compliance

Remuneration: $45-$48 Plus Superannuation
