A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The role

Reporting to the Manager Capital Works and Building Program, we are seeking a Project Officer - Community Facilities Capital Works who can bring their skills and experience to:

• Manage the planning and delivery of sport and recreation assets, early years facilities, and a range of other building projects.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, contractor performance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with Council's strategic objectives.

To be considered you will have:

• Local government experience is desirable
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
