INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

TOBCO is a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction services in the renewable energy sector. We specialise in utility-scale solar farm developments and are committed to safety, innovation, and sustainability. We are seeking a full time Industrial Engineer to join our team for the delivery of large-scale solar farm projects. This role is responsible for overseeing mechanical installation, workforce utilisation, equipment management, safety compliance, and site coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Location: Regional (travel across project sites as required)

Responsibilities:

- Interpret IFC (Issued for Construction) designs and support design reviews.

- Plan and coordinate labour, material deliveries, plant usage, and equipment maintenance.

- Manage mechanical scope of solar farm builds, including torqueing and final inspections.

- Supervise site teams ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specs.

- Implement work plans, daily programmes, and progress monitoring tools.

- Conduct inspections, audits, and QA reviews to ensure quality and efficiency.

- Identify workflow or methodology improvements and propose optimisations.

- Drive site safety practices and compliance with engineering and legal regulations. Skills and Experience Required

Skills and Experience:

- A recognised bachelor degree qualification in Industrial Engineering.

- At least 1 year of post-qualification relevant work experience in a construction or renewable energy environment. - Ensure that all aspects of project has been accounted and controlled for. Ensure a high level of accuracy in work. - Ability to meet deadlines on scheduled work and to efficiently complete assigned tasks.

- Able to effectively and productively work within a team environment where task completion is reliant on the cooperation of all members of the team.

Annual income for standard 38 hour week excluding superannuation $80,000 - $100,000 per annum commensurate with industry rates, skills and experience.
