Premium Building Material Supplies is a small business in Prestons, NSW specialising in supplying and manufacturing kitchen and bathroom joinery products and other types of furniture. Our aim is to offer industry leading standards of quality and service. We strive to build sustainable long-term relationships with our clients and suppliers, based on a 'do the right thing' ethos.

We require the right person to slot into our team who will oversee and maintain CNC machines and other equipment, and develop new and optimise existing technological procedures.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be based in our production facilities at Prestons, NSW with occasional travel to our customer sites.

Key Accountabilities:

● Optimisation of existing manufacturing procedures aiming at reducing the production time and costs of manufactured products.

● Development of cost-efficient manufacturing guidelines for CNC lathes operators for new products

● Development and integration of new tools aimed at optimising time and reducing costs of manufactured products.

● Optimisation and maintenance of CNC machines Excitech E4-1836D and WoodTron W 3618 advance auto-r, edge banding machines Excitech EF583IW40 and WoodTech NB5XE, and panel saws WoodTech MJK1138F1 and Excitech EP2600, including development of standard operating procedures.

● Assist with drafting new products when required.

● Assist with CNC lathe operations when required.

● Undertake other tasks as required.

Your Application:

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:

Essential Requirements:

● A Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering

● At least 5 years of work experience as an engineering technologist.

● Demonstrated experience developing technical specifications for new products for CNC machining

● Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and other CAD software to produce blueprints.

● Demonstrated experience with implementing CAD blueprints on CNC machines

● Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain CNC machines Excitech E4-1836D and WoodTron W 3618 advance auto-r, and edge banding machines and panel saws.

● Current Driving licence.

● Excellent written and oral communication skills.

● Ability to work as part of a team.

● Good problem solving and decision-making skills

Remuneration:

Appointment to this role will have a total remuneration package of $91,280, comprising a base salary of $81,500 plus 12% superannuation.
