About the Role

An opportunity is available for a Control Systems Engineer to take technical and project ownership of automation and control systems projects across the business.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role involves the end-to-end delivery of industrial automation initiatives covering design, programming, implementation, and coordination across multiple sites in the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing full-lifecycle automation and control system projects
• Design and programming of PLC and HMI systems (Allen Bradley, Omron, Panasonic)
• Development of electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Specification and integration of control, electrical, and instrumentation components
• On-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing system support
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives

About You

An experienced Control Systems Engineer with a strong background in automation and project delivery. Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership and manage projects through the full lifecycle from design and programming to commissioning and handover. A solid understanding of industrial environments and control system integration is essential.

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering qualifications (minimum Diploma)
• 3+ years’ experience in control systems engineering and industrial automation
• Proven skills in PLC/HMI development and commissioning
• Knowledge of LV power systems and industrial safety standards
• Experience in manufacturing, mining, smelting, or system integration environments
• Strong project management capability, including cost, schedule, and stakeholder coordination

Desirable:

• Robotic programming experience (ABB)
• Proficiency with MS Project or equivalent tools
• CAD experience (Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault)
