TESS Solutions (Australia) Pty Ltd develops traffic monitoring and enforcement technology, which has been approved domestically and internationally.

As a result of continued growth, they are looking to appoint a dedicated, professional and reliable Field Service Technician/Engineer for a full time position.

Intelligent Transport Systems experience may be advantageous but is not essential.

Requirements/Work Role includes:

Proven high quality working knowledge of electronics and computer operation.

Ability to fault find at a unit level in the field.

Board level computer repair skills in workshop.

Interacting with remote support team for instruction.

Linux and Windows familiarity is very advantageous.

Basic internet skills required. Web browser, Email, Word, Excel and FTP client familiarity.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience working with customers.

Working knowledge of computer networking and fault finding.

Ethernet termination capability and cabling experience is advantageous.

Working with ladders. (Certificate from approved provider or the ability to attain the certification)

Construction site induction. (Certificate from approved provider or the ability to attain the certification)

Assist with site installations.

Experience working with test equipment or similar, including different electrical meters.

You will be expected to travel around the state (with the vast majority in and around the Sydney suburban area) and on rarer occasions may be required to overnight more remote locations.

You must have:

A current, valid, unrestricted drivers license.

An appropriate certificate or verifiable equivalent experience.

Previous experience in a Field Service Technician role, ideally with a mix of electronic and mechanical experience

Authority to work in Australia.

No previous criminal convictions (An annual police check will be required).

On offer to the successful candidate is the opportunity to get involved in developing and delivering world-class products. You will be required to be available during normal office hours to assist with customer support and there will be some occasions where extra team commitment is required to complete a job within a time-line.
