Position: Junior Field Service Technician

Summary of Essential Functions:

The role of the Junior Service Tech is responsible for traveling to customer locations to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex equipment or systems, providing on-site technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing problems, performing necessary repairs, and educating clients on proper usage of the equipment in Australia, as well as any other countries or territories covered by CEIA Pacific. Will also manage the warehouse and shipping activities for the company.

He/She will drive actions to achieve effective and efficient delivery of installation and commissioning activities, preventative and remedial maintenance, and all other aspect of the company’s field-based technical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation, setting up and configuring new equipment at customer sites, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols

Maintenance, performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance checks, and cleaning of equipment to optimize performance and prevent future issues.

Repair and Troubleshooting, diagnosing technical faults, identifying malfunctioning components, and repairing or replacing parts as needed to resolve issues

Customer Interaction Interacting directly with clients, explaining technical issues in understandable terms, and addressing any concerns they may have

Technical Documentation, Completing detailed service reports, documenting repair details, parts used, and customer interactions.

Manage the stock in the warehouse

Shipping stock to customers

Ensure the company complies with all regulations and legislations specific to health, safety and environmental laws, electronic wave and broadband regulations, electrical safety, and security compliance.

Other activities as required.

Essential Requirements:

Have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Qualification: Certificate IV in engineering or higher (Preferably in electronics).

Be eligible for security clearance and licences (Aviation Security ID Card, Security Industry Licence 2C, Defence Clearance).

A valid Australian driver's license is required.

A comprehensive understanding of the various regulatory requirements of the industry (where applicable).

High level of initiative & desire to succeed. Self-starter and highly motivated. Act with minimum supervision.

High level of customer focus.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Possess excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of activities.

Strong customer service skills including phone etiquette and conflict resolution, and the ability to handle stressful situations with resilience and tenacity.

Computer literacy - competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialised software programs.

Ability to travel.

Ability to lift packages up to 23 kg unassisted
