The Opportunity:

Our Client is seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join the property finance team, responsible for the financial management and reporting of commercial property assets. This role involves end-to-end property accounting, including tax implications, maintaining property systems, tenant billing, and financial performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual property reports
• Manage property accounting, including tenant billing and lease administration
• Maintain and oversee property system data
• Collaborate with Property Managers on financial performance
• Manage capital/operational expenses, asset registers, and property budgets
• Ensure compliance with tax and audit requirements
• Assist with board reporting, special projects, and property acquisitions/disposals

Skills & Experience Required:

• 3+ years in property accounting (financial and tax reporting), retail property exposure preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Strong lease interpretation experience
• Excellent communication, time management, and Excel skills
• CPA/CA qualified, with a self-starter mindset
