Senior Advisor, Internal Engagement

Employment Type: Ongoing, Full time
Location: Sydney (McKell) / Hybrid. In office presence required 1 or 2 days per week (subject to DCS directive)
Salary range : $130,705 - $157,430 plus 11.5% Super
About the role
We're looking for an experienced internal comms powerhouse to join the Internal Engagement team within the Service NSW Customer Care and Business Bureau division.
You'll work closely with the Internal Engagement manager to develop and roll out a range of internal communications and engagement initiatives for the division. You'll build effective relationships with our team members and leaders to understand their priorities and challenges, and provide sound advice and guidance that builds capability, internal awareness and understanding of our work and deliverables.

In this role you will:
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies and plans aligned to organisational and executive priorities
- Champion and deliver our Internal Engagement Program, which focuses on supporting our teams' health and wellbeing, learning and development and change capability.
- Be an active and highly visible people communications leader within the division.
- Project manage divisional all-staff meetings, hybrid events and senior leader sessions, including developing agendas, writing speaking points and organising speakers/presenters/activities.
- Create and deliver engaging written and visual content across multiple channels.
- Provide advice and guidance on best practice internal communications and engagement and participate in activities and initiatives that enhance our employees' experience at work.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to develop content and present to a range of internal stakeholders.
- Experience in the development and delivery of strategic internal initiatives that align with organisational priorities, and delivery of strategic insights on communications.
- Experience supporting teams through change and ability to develop impactful change communications with clarity, transparency and empathy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects and tasks within demanding timeframes.
Candidates with a degree in a related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in internal communications and engagement are strongly encouraged to apply. Change communications experience is highly regarded.
