I'm Dan the owner of The Mowersaurus, a small but growing gardening business built on sustainability, attention to detail, and just plain doing things properly. We're now looking for the right person to join our team—and hopefully grow into a key part of our future.

We use zero-emissions, battery-powered equipment, new vehicles, and pride ourselves on being environmentally conscious while still delivering top-quality results for our clients. If you’re passionate about gardening and care about the work you do, we’d love to hear from you.

🌱 About the Role:

This is a full-time hands-on gardening role, but I’m really looking for someone who can take initiative, solve problems on the spot (especially when it comes to lawn, plant and soil health), and take real pride in their work.

Ideally, you’ll have experience leading or managing others, or, be keen to step into that kind of role as we expand. You don’t need to know it all, but a willingness to learn and contribute is key.

This role is for an immediate start

Day-to-Day, You’ll Be:

Mowing, pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, edging, applying treatments – the whole lot

Spotting issues with lawns, plants or soil and working out solutions

Using our clean, quiet, zero-emissions equipment

Working independently or helping lead a small team

Communicating with clients and representing the business well

Helping shape how we grow as a business

Maintaining equipment and tools

What I’m Looking For:

A formal horticultural qualification (e.g. Cert III or above and a Chem Cert)

Solid experience working in gardens or landscaping (3+ years)

Good lawn and plant knowledge and confidence solving issues that arise in the garden (ie pests, disease, and causes of stress)

Leadership experience (or the interest in stepping into that space)

A full driver’s license (with the ability to drive manual is a big bonus, although our new vehicle is automatic)

Someone who’s reliable, takes ownership, holds themselves accountable to a high quality of workmanship and genuinely enjoys this kind of work

Experience with installing and maintaining irrigation systems

Current First Aid Certificate

Must be able to pass working with children check and national police check
