Team Leader – Gardening Maintenance

Location: Melbourne (Eastern Suburbs focus, minor north and west focus)

The Role

As an experienced Team Leader you'll be responsible for delivering high standards of garden maintenance across our client portfolio. This hands-on role requires leadership, autonomy, and a strong eye for detail to uphold our service excellence. Great communications skills, professionalism and a great attitude are key to succeeding in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Mowing lawns using push and ride-on mowers

Lawn edging and line trimming with brush cutters

Hedge trimming and shaping

Pruning trees and shrubs

Weed control and garden bed maintenance

General gardening upkeep

Supervising and working with a small team and delegating daily tasks

Liaising with clients on-site and ensuring job satisfaction

Maintaining equipment and ensuring tools are used safely and correctly

About You (Skills & Experience)

Minimum 2–3 years' experience in the gardening maintenance industry

Comfortable working across residential, NDIS, aged care, body corporate, and industrial sites

Strong communication and client-facing skills

Ability to lead a team and work independently

Confident driving with a trailer

Punctual, reliable, and solution-oriented.

Ability to maintain a high standard of work, with an efficient approach

Certificate III in Horticulture is desirable, but not essential

What You’ll Need

A valid driver’s licence

Willingness to travel across metro Melbourne (primarily Eastern suburbs)

A proactive mindset, high work ethic, and a friendly personality.
