About the role

We are seeking an experienced Timberyard Sales professional to join our team at Hume and Iser Mitre 10' in Bendigo, VIC. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in the retail industry to support our customers and drive growth within our timber and building supplies business.

What you'll be doing

Providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to assist customers with their timber and building supply needs

Accurately processing sales transactions and maintaining detailed records

Assisting with the organisation and stocking of the timber yard to ensure optimal product availability

Participating in regular team meetings and contributing ideas to improve store operations

Adhering to all health, safety and security protocols to maintain a safe work environment

Supporting the store manager with other duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role, ideally within the timber, building or hardware industry

Strong product knowledge and the ability to provide expert advice to customers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and team members

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
