Our client is a well-established and growing specialty chemical manufacturer. They are looking for a Graduate QC Chemist or Laboratory Technician for a proposed 2-3 month casual assignment starting immediately.

The role as the QC Laboratory Technician involves:

• Collecting and testing samples from production line
• Checking that all finished goods are within specified limits
• Perform Viscosity, PH, spread-ability , colour and adhesive testing.
• Check all required tests have been conducted and information noted
• Report any issues to production
• Create laboratory products as directed by the chemists
• File retained samples

Essential Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or closely related science
• Interest in working with chemicals, paint or adhesives
• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 20kg
• Is committed to safety and safe work practices
• Highly reliable with a mature approach
• Sound MS Excel skills
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Driver licence (Red P's or above)

Rate of Pay: $42.16 p/h

Shift: Day shift 8:00am - 4:00pm or 7:00am to 3:00pm
